ACL Lineup

The lineup this year sucks so bad. They repeated half the bands and replaced the others with some weird ass ones. Good job C3! The only bands/artists that I would go to is Phoenix and Dana Falconberry. Unless I get a free ticket this year, I will be avoiding the fest filled with people who go just for the satisfactory of saying that they went.

Trojan Live

Trojan Live was awesome this year! It was full of very talented kids and I was impressed with each and every one of them. However, there was one singer that really stood out to me, and that would be Daniel (sorry if I spelled his name wrong). He was absolutely amazing! The songs he chose suited his voice perfectly. He had so much range and the fact that he could play the guitar and the piano blew me away. Honestly I don't think think that he needs college when he has amazing talent like that. The one thing that kind of pissed me off about Trojan Live was the audience. They were rude as fuck. I cannot believe some of the things they did. But overall, The talent of those kids was amazing.

Jimmie Buffet

He was playing somewhere in Austin last night and I wanted to go so bad. My dad and I were in the last night driving and he came on the radio and they were just talking to him for like an hour or so and he seems like the coolest, nicest guy ever. He was playing a few song on his acoustic guitar and it was just so fun to listen to. My two all time favorite songs by him are "Margaritaville" (typical) and "Somethin' About a Boat". I cant believe he is like in his 60's and still coming out with new albums! To me, that is so awesome and admirable. I think his music is absolutely perfect to listen to when chilling on the beach. Also, I cannot believe he was actually a surfer! That is so weird considering he sounds like a complete county boy.

Nirvana

Im pretty sure that I have blogged about Nirvana before but whatever we listened to them in class so I will do it again. I love Nirvana and I especially like to listen to them whenever I am pissed off or depressed. They are just so good and Kurt's voice is so powerful and can make you feel all sorts of emotions. I still wonder why he killed himself because he had a pretty damn good life. He was so successful and millions of people loved him and his band. But I do believe that Dave Grohl wouldn't have created the Foo Fighters if he didn't, and I love me some Foo Fighters. I saw them at ACL a few years ago and they were so good! Dave is so funny and just seems like a really cool down-to-earth guy. One of my lifetime dreams would be to meet him (obviously would never happen). But fo realzzz Nirvana is one of my faves.

The beatles

Two of my favorite songs done by The Beatles are yesterday, and for no one. Yesterday was written and performed by paul McCartney. I interpreted the song like he was missing someone from his life that  he had recently lost, because of a decision he had made. For no one, was written by John Lennon and has a darker tone to it. comparing the two, its interesting to see the balance of dark and light. Both songs exhibit signs of lonesomeness or solitude but are expressed in two different sounds, that are both enjoyable.

Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam Rocks my socks off my feet. Lol im funny, just kidding. Anyways......... I grew up listening to pearl jam as a kid when my dad would play it loud in the house. I always loved it and I have been listening to them forever. I probably know every song by them like no joke. As I said in my last blog, Eddie Vedder is on my top three favorite singers of all time list. I also like when he goes solo too. Big Hard Sun is my all-time favorite song I have ever heard him sing. His voice is very calm and soothing and some people say that they cant hear what he is saying half the time but I can. Pearl Jam is awesome. The end.
